William C. Madison graduated from Temple University in 1969, and received his J.D. from the University of New Mexico in 1973. Mr. Madison is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New Mexico, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth and Fifth Circuits. Mr. Madison is also a licensed and registered pharmacist.
Mr. Madison is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and his practice includes defending individuals and corporations in a full range of civil cases. Mr. Madison has tried more than 100 cases, ranging from personal injury, professional malpractice, and products liability to complex commercial matters.
Mr. Madison frequently works closely with other attorneys in the firm, particularly on complex, large document cases that require extensive discovery and the marshaling of substantial effort. Representative of some of the complex matters handled by Mr. Madison include the following:
The defense of the diphtheria pertussis and tetanus litigation in New Mexico; counsel in New Mexico for Smith & Nephew Richards, Inc., manufacturer of the pedicle screw fixation devices presently in the multi-district litigation in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; lender liability cases for numerous banks in New Mexico and out of-state banks; complex commercial litigation involving dealer contractual disputes for Snap-On Tools Corporation in New Mexico and disputes for Snap-On Tools Corporation in New Mexico and also in the State of Florida; and extra-contractual liability cases for major national insurance companies.
Mr. Madison is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Defense Research Institute, the American Society of Pharmacy Law, and the Albuquerque and American Bar Association.
