Blake A. Whitcomb, Attorney
Blake A. Whitcomb grew up in rural far-northwest Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma as an undergraduate. While at OU, he was recognized as both a National Merit Scholar and an Oklahoma State Regents Academic Scholar, and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Economics.
In 2011, Mr. Whitcomb received his Juris Doctor from Baylor School of Law, in Waco, TX. While attending Baylor Law, he both assisted in the prosecution of violent crimes in the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office and, later, drafted appeals for the Texas Innocence Project.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Whitcomb moved to Albuquerque and accepted a position in the Office of the Albuquerque City Attorney. As an Assistant City Attorney, he had a diverse practice, including: litigating civil matters in both trial and appellate courts; overseeing numerous transactional matters involving real property and economic development projects; and, serving as in-house bond counsel for the City.
Mr. Whitcomb joined Madison, Mroz, Steinman & Dekleva, P.A. in 2016 and is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in New Mexico.
